Madness: A 31-Foot Proa

In this video, John Harris of Chesapeake Light Craft makes the case for the proa as an alternative minimalist cruiser.  This is one intriguing design, and the prototype shown here has since been launched and sea trialed. I plan to follow up with more on this Madness soon:

  1. Hey, they worked for the pirates on the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea a couple hundred years ago...

  2. That's right. Multihulls of all configurations have been crossing oceans for thousands of years. This one really slick, and I like that it can be trailered, yet is still big enough to go places.
